Most investors use mortgage financing, and mortgage interest is generally deductible for U.S. income tax purposes. Alternatively, many investors already own properties with mortgages in need of refinancing. Drawing on our relationships with mortgage lending institutions, we seek financing and refinancing terms suited to each client’s investment goals, including for Islamic investors.
Mortgage financing
We seek advantageous mortgage financing at the lowest possible interest cost. We identify the most favorable combination of financing terms for each property acquired and typically obtain several quotes so clients can select the one most aligned with their objectives.
Workouts & refinancing
We negotiate with lending institutions to recommend the best course of action for refinancing, restructuring maturing debt, and navigating constantly evolving mortgage markets.
Islamic financing
We can structure an Ija’ara financing approach acceptable to Islamic clients, working with Shari’a advisors. An appropriate holding company is formed to arrange financing, with lease structures that allow clients to realize the economic benefits of ownership without involvement in the mortgage financing.
